The 12 public colleges here charge a median of $8,062 a year, $1,878 (19%) below the national public median of $9,940. The 8 private nonprofit colleges on the list charge a median of $34,510, under the $39,582 national private median. Northwestern Oklahoma State University ranks first at $5,970, ahead of Cameron University ($7,095) and Southeastern Oklahoma State University ($7,530).
