By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. These terms apply from October 5, 2026.

Using the site

You may use the site for personal, educational and other non-commercial research. You may quote our pages and link to them with attribution (the name TuitionScope and a link to the page you used).

The underlying data comes from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard. The methodology page explains the source and how we derive each figure.

Information only, not advice

Everything on the site is general information. It is not financial, legal, tax, admissions or professional advice. Net price, earnings and debt figures are statistics about groups of past students; your own costs and outcomes will differ.

Before making a decision, confirm the numbers with the college's own net price calculator and financial aid office and with official sources such as StudentAid.gov.

Data and accuracy

We publish figures from the College Scorecard (June 2026 release, version 3.6.1) and calculations documented on the methodology page. We work to present them accurately, but data can be delayed, incomplete, withheld for privacy or revised later by the Department of Education or by colleges.

Ownership

The site's design, text, translations, code and our own calculations belong to TuitionScope or its licensors and are protected by copyright. Public data published by the U.S. government remains public.

College names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify institutions. No affiliation with or endorsement by any college or by the U.S. Department of Education is implied.

Links to other websites

We link to college websites, government resources and other tools. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Advertising

The site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are labeled. Advertisers cannot influence our data, rankings or editorial content, and colleges cannot pay to appear, change data or rank higher. We are not responsible for advertisers' products or claims. See the privacy policy for how advertising works.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• use the site to break the law or infringe the rights of others;
• overload, disrupt or attempt to bypass the security of the site;
• republish substantial parts of the site as your own.

Automated access should follow our robots.txt file and be reasonably paced. Search engines and AI assistants that respect robots.txt are welcome.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TuitionScope and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from decisions you make using the site. Some places do not allow certain limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with its effective date, is the one in force. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
