Highest Graduate Earnings at Community Colleges

A two-year degree in the right field can pay as well as many bachelor’s degrees. This ranking sorts two-year colleges by median earnings of former students four years after they completed an associate degree or certificate, adjusted to 2024 dollars.

Of the 412 two-year colleges with at least 500 undergraduates and a published earnings figure, we show the top 50. The median is $49,399, the top figure is $112,190 and the 50th school is at $57,487. SUNY Westchester Community College ranks first, and California has the most entries with 18. The median net price for qualifying schools is $8,013.

Earnings at two-year colleges are heavily shaped by high-wage programs such as nursing and skilled trades, and by local labor markets. Some of the highest figures belong to schools with small cohorts, so use the profile to check programs.

If you are weighing a two-year degree against a bachelor’s, compare these figures with the four-year earnings ranking and read our guide to choosing between community college and a four-year school.
